A traditional Irish double jig.
The next months, I'll be concentrating on how to be able to survive an Irish session. The reason: they are about the only way to jam here in Belgium. And a lot of English concertina players play Irish tunes... so let's see whats nice to play on the EC. Three objectives:
- I have to like the tune.
- It has to play nicely on the English concertina.
- When I play this tune at an Irish session, the others know it and want to play it with me.
I don't have any experience with Irish music, but the last Irish session in Ghent was a lot of fun. We even got free drinks all night.
